Calibrate photo scale and add mm dimensions
Import a field or site photo, set scale from one known measurement, then place dimension lines in millimeters—in the photo plane, for field notes and email.

EngSketch in the browser—for quick technical communication, not formal document review.
- Import or paste a flat photo—no app install
- Calibrate scale from one known length on the image
- Add mm dimension lines in the 2D image plane—not depth or 3D
How it works
Three steps from image or blank sheet to a shareable drawing.
- 01
Import
Paste a photo from the clipboard or import an image file from your device.
- 02

FAQ
Can I paste a screenshot?
Yes. Paste from the clipboard or import an image file. Clipboard paste support may vary by mobile browser.
Can I measure depth or 3D distances from a photo?
No. EngSketch works on a flat image. You calibrate scale from one known length, then dimension in the image plane. It is not AR measurement or photogrammetry.
How accurate are dimensions on a photo?
Accurate enough for explanations and field notes when the subject is roughly in one plane—not for manufacturing drawings, survey, or objects at very different depths.
